Any of you who will be in Boston this weekend should check out a concert by Juventas, a new music ensamble that one of my greatest friends founded this past year. Sure, color me biased, him being my friend and all, and next weekend being my first Juventas concert and all, but I honestly expect a good show.
To boot: Juventas is “dedicated to performing music by today’s composers, focusing on works by those under the age of 35. Consisting of an extended Pierrot ensemble, Juventas boasts talented players from throughout the Boston area.”
This Saturday’s show will feature an old favorite: “Dancing in Dew” by Mark David Buckles. Among six other pieces with titles as varied as “In the sky she floats” to “Nigun for the Victims of Terror.”
Yeah. Should be an emotional journey.
